Role UX/UI Designer
Client: Asia Society
Exploring Asia is a permanent immersive exhibition designed to reimagine cultural education. The experience brings the cultures of five Asian countries to life through fun, interactive explorations of language, food, music, travel, and contemporary life, inviting visitors of all ages to engage with Asian and Asian American histories and perspectives.
Rhythm of Country
A rhythm-based interactive featuring traditional drums from across Asia. The installation synchronizes live drumming with historical and contemporary visual art styles from each country—ranging from the movement of a Chinese Lion Dance to the energy of Korean K-pop—allowing visitors to experience cultural expression through sound, rhythm, and play.
Cafe Table
A free-exploration interactive designed to reframe how children perceive Asian foods. Visitors build a lunchbox using snacks, dishes, drinks, and desserts from Asian and Houston cultures. Each selection reveals pronunciation, flavor notes, and a QR code linking to local Houston spots where the food can be tried, alongside familiar food pairings that highlight cross-cultural similarities.
